Terry Gene Eggers was born November 11, 1943, to Orlen and Mildred (Blair) Eggers in Breckenridge, MN.  He grew up and attended school in rural Rosholt.  On November 14, 1960, Terry enlisted in the U.S. Army.  He was stationed in Germany for 31 months as a truck driver.  He was honorably discharged November 13, 1963.  After returning home, Terry was employed at the New Effington Elevator and later drove the Coke truck.

On September 11, 1965, Terry was united in marriage to Patricia Bucklin.  Terry and Patty moved to Glenwood, MN, where Terry drove truck for Old Home Bread.  They returned to farm in the New Effington area and later the Browns Valley area.

In the late 70s, Terry and Patty moved to Rosholt and Terry partnered with Larry Ringsaker in R & E Equipment, selling used farm machinery.  In 1984, Terry moved to the Twin Cities and drove truck.

One day in the mid-90s on his way home to the Cities driving his car hauler, Terry broke down in Hoffman, MN.  He stopped at the local mechanic, Marvin Simar, to get his truck fixed. They ended up sitting down for coffee and visiting and Marv let him leave a pickup there to try to sell.  Later that day, when Terry got back to the Cities, there was a message on his answering machine that he sold the pickup already.  This began a 20-year friendship.  Terry relocated to Hoffman and owned and operated Terry's Auto Sales.  He shared his shop with his good friend, Marv, who operated Marv's Service.  He retired in 2017 and made his home in Rosholt.

Terry was a member of the Waite Park, MN, American Legion Post 428.  He enjoyed  his cats, NFL and college football, dirt track racing, and an occasional polka dance.  He took many trips to the Casino to play cards, especially Texas Hold 'Em and Blackjack. Terry also liked playing Dominoes and Cribbage with the family.

Survivors include his children, Jason (Tommi) Eggers of Mendota Heights, MN, Kelly (Jill) Eggers of Rosholt, and Julie (Stephen) Braun of Marysville, OH; six grandchildren, Austin Eggers, Mackenzie (Matthew) Wieser, Anna (Jared) Rohloff, Jarret Braun, Cody Braun, and Rachel Braun; four great-grandchildren, Josie, Freddy, and Arlen Wieser and Renn Rohloff; siblings, Robert Eggers of Rosholt, Allen (Margaret) Eggers of Rosholt, Bonnie (Roger) Warrington of Webster, SD, Dale (Jean) Eggers of Carrington, ND, and Bruce (Linda) Eggers of Chamberlain, SD; brother-in-law, Doug Broz of Rosholt; and sister-in-law, Peggy Eggers of Graceville, MN.
