Curtis Klemm

Curtis L. Klemm, age 81, Rosholt, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Sanford Wheaton Hospital.

There will be a Memorial Visitation Monday, September 29, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt. The Rosholt Corner Bar will be open for a meal throughout and after the visitation time.

Honorary urn bearers will be the nursing staff from the Sanford Wheaton Hospital, Lake Region Hospital, and Coteau des Prairies Hospital.

Curtis LeRoy Klemm was born August 8, 1944, to LeRoy and Martha (Yost) Klemm in Browns Valley, MN. He attended K-8 school at North Bryant and graduated from West Central School of Agriculture in Morris in 1962.  After finishing school, Curt began farming in Bryant Township.  He also worked for the local fishing crews in the wintertime.

On September 15, 1979, Curt married Carol Muller at Foxhome Lutheran Church in Foxhome, MN.  Curt continued farming and worked as an extra gang leader at Minn-Dak in Wahpeton until his retirement in 2009. However, retirement didn't suit him for long—he later worked at Maynard's in Browns Valley and also helped his nephew, Richard, on the farm.

Curt enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, deer hunting, and snowmobiling.  He also liked listening to the Farmer's Market, taking scenic road trips, playing cards and keno, and enjoyed going for breakfast to listen to the ladies aid. Above all, Curt treasured time with his family. He found great joy in farming and loved helping his son, Jamie, with baling. He also cherished moments spent with his grandchildren, especially playing Chinese checkers with his granddaughter, Ava.

Curt is survived by his wife, Carol Klemm of Sisseton, SD; children, Sonya (Walker) Lick of Sisseton, and Jamie (Jen) Muller of Breckenridge, MN;  grandchildren, Ava Cox, Baylyn, Tripp, and Brix Lick of Sisseton; siblings, Marilyn (Robert) Johnson of Wheaton, DeVere (Loretta) Klemm of Twin Brooks, Jeanette (Gene) Ebert of Hutchinson, MN, and Dale (Kelly) Klemm of Milbank, SD; and brothers-in-law, Gary (Sally) Muller of Fergus Falls, MN, Jim (Sonia) Muller of Foxhome, Roger Muller of Foxhome, Ken (Shari) Muller of Mahnomen, MN, and Les Muller of Foxhome.

Curt is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Martha Klemm; parents-in-law, Albert and Lucille Muller; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Allen) Wagner, Penny Muller and Pat Muller; nephew, David Johnson; and niece, Rhonda Muller.
