Zella Olson

Zella M. Olson, 77, Clinton, MN, died Thursday, May 27, 2010, at a Graceville, MN hospital.     Memorial services were Saturday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m. at the Clinton United Methodist Church in Clinton, MN with the Rev. Darrell Boe officiating. Music was provided by organist Sandy Vold.     Zella Mae was born August 18, 1932, in Prior Township, MN, to Clarence F. and Sara Mae (Wallace) Fetterley. She attended school in Beardsley and was confirmed in the Beardsley Methodist Church.         Zella married Gilbert Olson on March 11, 1949, in Webster, SD. They farmed south of Graceville where Zella was Gilbert's truck driver and farm helper in many ways. In 1987 they retired and moved into Clinton.     After joining the Clinton Methodist Church, Zella served as the president of the United Methodist Women and as Membership Chair for many years. She was also a life member of the Malta W.C.T.U. Zella was a member of RSVP and a Prairie Five driver in recent years.     Survivors include her husband, Gilbert of Clinton; four children, Carol (Vince) Coulter of Staples, MN, Doris Loes of Maplewood, MN, Gordon (Linda) Olson of Madison, WI, and Dale (Cheri) Olson of Washington, NJ; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother Wallace Fetterley of Isanti, MN.     Zella was preceded in death by her parents.
