William "Bill" Spotts

William "Bill" J. Spotts, 95, Browns Valley, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Browns Valley Health Center.

Private family services will be held at a later date at the Valley View Cemetery, Browns Valley.

William John Spotts was born August 21, 1927, to Cecil and Emma (Pecore) Spotts in Neopit, WI.  Bill attended school in Browns Valley, graduating from Browns Valley High School.

On August 14, 1946, Bill married Donna Christensen in Wheaton, MN. Bill was employed at the Champlin Oil Station until 1977. He then worked for Sisseton Cablevision and later TCI Cable Company.

Bill was a member of the Browns Valley Fire Department and belonged to a bowling league.  Bill was an avid family man, hunter, and fisherman.  He and Donna loved traveling in their RV.  Their trips included Colorado, Alaska, and local sites with the grandkids.  Deer hunting is upon us, and he cooked breakfast for the entire crew every morning.  It's not going to be the same without him.  He was the grand poupah and everyone respected him.

Survivors include his daughters, Vicki (Curt) Powers and Janet (Terry) Biewer of Browns Valley; grandchildren, Martin Monson, Ryan Hurlbut, Kelli Rinehart, Shane Raw, Jodi Banik, and Courtney Campbell; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat Spotts of Hutchinson, MN, and Pete Spotts of Sisseton, SD.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Donna on February 14, 2011; daughter, Judi Monson; son, Lynn Spotts; son-in-law, Bill Raw; and sisters, JoAnn Spotts, Helen Spindler, and Doris Spotts.
