William A. "Bill" Enwiller, 103, Rosholt, SD, died Monday, September 21, 2009, at the Rosholt Care Center. Funeral services were Saturday, September 26, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Rev. Harold Watrous officiating. Music was provided by Lana Sand. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery, Rosholt. Pallbearers were Tony Olson, Paul Fieldseth, Ron Naylor, Tim Bates, David Bates, and Leslie Schiltz. Visitation was Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, and continued Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. William August was born February 10, 1906, at Rosholt, to August and Minnie (Luke) Enwiller. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, rural Rosholt. After attending White Rock #6 rural school through the eighth grade, he began farming with his father. In 1935, his father retired and he farmed alone until 1947 when he purchased a different farm from his father. On July 7, 1930, Bill married Mabel Lewis at Milbank, SD. They continued to farm in White Rock Township, retiring in 1985. They moved into Rosholt in 1998. Mabel passed away in 1999. In 2002, Bill made the Rosholt Care Center his home. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors include a son, Dale and Jane Enwiller of Delano, MN; two daughters, Joanne Randall of Trail, B.C., and Sharlotte and Robert Kline of Nampa, ID; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel; two daughters, Marlys Hall and Arlene Henke; two sons-in-law, Wesley Hall and Richard Randall; a great-granddaugher, Courtney Enwiller; two brothers, Fred and Archie Enwiller; and three sisters, Laura Vogel, Anna Garvey, and Gertie Wass.
