Wallace "Buss" Kittelson, 90, Rosholt, SD, formerly of Victor, SD, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014, at the Countryside Inn, Rosholt.
Funeral services were Friday, November 14, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating. Music was provided by organist Ruby Larsen and vocalist Pam Anderson.
Burial was in the Brandvold Cemetery, rural Victor. Honorary pallbearer was James Robinson. Active pallbearers were Dale Ceroll, Jill Ceroll, Larry Ringsaker, Charlie Vandeputte, Nate Herman and Stephanie Herman.
Visitation was Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt and continued Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Wallace was born December 10, 1923, to Carl and Anne (Hanson) Kittelson in Victor Township. He was one of seven children. Buss lived on the family acreage most of his life and farmed until 1948 when he lost his sight. He worked with his brother Edwin in a well drilling business for many years fixing and drilling wells in the community. In 2008, he made his home in the Countryside Inn, Rosholt.
Buss enjoyed rug weaving, reading and fishing with friends.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Donna Kittelson of Rosholt; three nephews, Kim Kittelson of Rosholt, Joe (Arlyn) Kittelson of Minneapolis, and Ken Kittelson of Watertown, SD; five great-nieces; and five great-great-nieces and nephews.
Buss was preceded in death by his parents; and six brothers and sisters, Edwin, Lowell, Palmer, and Alvin Kittelson, Cora Ekstrom and Alma Robinson.
