Veoma Marion (Voss) Renelt was born on the family farm near Rosholt to Charles and Mary (Garrison) Voss on September 13, 1923. She was baptized at the Rosholt United Methodist Church, and attended school through the 8 th grade at Crawford School. During her teen years she worked at the "Little Dandy Lunch" in Rosholt, and was a hired girl for various families, including Marvin Petersons, Ed Sands, Sadie Voss, and Ed Enkers.

Veoma was united in marriage to Francis G. Renelt at St. John's Catholic Church in Rosholt on June 8, 1943. To this union six children were born. They farmed the family farm north of Victor, with their home at the site of Vernon, until they retired. They wintered in the Largo Florida area for many years. The children and grandchildren all enjoyed their visits to sunny Florida to spend time with them. They returned to Rosholt to live permanently. Francis passed away on June 8, 2001, on their 58 th wedding anniversary.

Veoma loved to keep her hands busy. She raised a garden and preserved fruits and vegetables and tended to the flowers around the house. Several times a week she baked bread, buns, and cinnamon twists. She worked hard, but always found time to have fun with her family and friends, whether it was playing card games or marbles, or badminton or softball, or a visit with the neighbor ladies over a cup of coffee. She had the gift of hospitality and had a flair for cooking, and often entertained friends and family.

In her spare time, Veoma enjoyed sewing and making crafts. Everything from ceramics to any kind of needle work you could think of, which she usually gave away to others. She made each grandchild a Cabbage Patch doll, and then a quilt for their high school graduation. She also loved to travel and was blessed to see much of the United States and enjoyed several trips to foreign countries. Also, Veoma was active in the St. John's Altar Society and Rosary Makers, was a member of the Rosholt Senior Citizens, and enjoyed her bridge club.

Her faith in the Lord, and her family, were the most important things to her. The family always knew that she was praying for them, and she was an inspiration to them.

Survivors include children, David (Annette) Renelt, Lake City, MN, Raymond (June) Renelt, Rosholt, Barbara (William) Klein, Watertown, SD, Timothy (Joan) Renelt, Rapid City, SD, Francis J. (Karen) Renelt, Rosholt, and Ronald Renelt, Watertown; grandchildren, John Renelt, Christopher Renelt, Daniel Renelt, Adam Renelt, Brenda Score, Cheryl Pickert, Jessica Bebensee, Tanya Renelt, Jenni O'Hare, Aaron Renelt, Amy Hagenson, and Amanda Larson; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Veoma was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; parents, Charles and Mary Voss; grandson, David Renelt; brothers, Donald, Fredrick, and Grover Voss; and sisters, Ethel Peterson, Rosella Stelton, Ardella Ciskie, and Frances "Toni" Kruize.
