Travis Rinnels

Travis Rinnels, age 37, Wahpeton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at his home in Wahpeton.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Wahpeton.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.

Travis Paul LaVern Rinnels was born May 26, 1985, to Norman and Eileen (Brandenburger) Rinnels in Breckenridge, MN. He attended school in Wahpeton.

On July 1, 2005, Travis was united in marriage to Lisa Nygaard in Wahpeton. They had three children, Brayden, Kylie, and Mylie.

Travis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and grilling out with family and friends. His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July; you could guarantee to find Travis with fireworks in his hands. Travis always liked to have fun and loved joking around. Some of the best memories are the big family gatherings at Grandpa and Grandma's house where you would find him downstairs playing pool with his cousins or summers staying at Grandma's house for the week. Wherever Travis was, there was mischief to be made. Travis especially cherished the time that he got to spend with his children. Travis was always there if you needed him.

Survivors include his children, Brayden and Kylie Rinnels of Lincoln, ND; mother, Eileen R. Beith of Wahpeton; father, Norman Rinnels of Wahpeton; grandma, Marlene Brandenburger; siblings, Janet (Jason) Smith of Knoxville, TN, Angie (Benny) Foster of Briceville, TN, Megan (Aaron) Schillinger of Doran, MN, and Caleb (Alma) Rinnels of Aberdeen, SD; nieces and nephews, Nathaniel Smith, Benny and Sean Foster, and Landyn, Elana, Raegan, and Dylan Schillinger; Kensa (Logan) Mead; and many aunts and uncles.

Travis was preceded in death by his daughter, Mylie Rinnels; stepfather, Kenneth Beith; paternal grandparents, LaVern and Mabel Rinnels; maternal grandpa, Paul Brandenburger; and cousin, Chad Rinnels.
