Tom W. Hoffman, 49, Browns Valley, MN, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at his residence in Browns Valley.
Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, October 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley with Father David Breu officiating. Music was provided by organist Norma Jung and the St. Anthony Choir.
Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Browns Valley. Honorary urn bearers were Brice Hoffman, Cory Hoffman, Anthony Homan, Dan Nelson, Kristopher Alberts, Troy Thissen, Dan Andrews, Justin Crow and Wade Haaland. Active urn bearer was Bob Goodhart.
Visitation was Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Tom William Hoffman was born June 24, 1965, in Wheaton, MN, to Odell and Shirley (Rieck) Hoffman. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley. Tom attended school in Browns Valley graduating from Browns Valley High School in 1983. After finishing school, he moved to Bloomington, MN, and worked with his brother Terry in an auto detailing business. In 1985, Tom returned to Browns Valley and began working with his father and brother Tim at Hoffman Electric.
Tom enjoyed target shooting, gun collecting, attending motocross races and watching NASCAR races. His vehicles were his pride and joy. Tom also loved teasing and playing with his great nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Hoffman of Browns Valley; siblings, Tim (Carol) Hoffman of Browns Valley, Cindy (Pat) Homan of Beardsley, MN, and Terry (Donna) Hoffman of Browns Valley; sister-in-law, Traci Oletzke of Blaine, MN; nieces and nephews, Angie, Jen and Dan Nelson, Brice and Taryn Hoffman, Suzy and Kristopher Alberts, Missy and Troy Thissen, Becky and Dan Andrews, Anthony and Nicole Homan, Nicole Hoffman, Cory and Carman Hoffman, Aleesha and Justin Crow, and Bree and Wade Haaland; great-nieces and nephews, Carsen and Cameron, Vanessa and Liam, Logan and Jaden, Landen and Hannah, and Brook and Alex; and special friends Carly and Dylan Goodhart.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Odell and brother, Todd Hoffman.
