Arlys Mae “Toddy” Dahlman, 94, Rosholt, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026, at Tekakwitha Living Center in Sisseton.
Funeral Services will be Friday, July 31, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating. Music will be provided by pianist Todd Quatier. The service will be recorded and appear below when available.
Burial will be in the Bethania Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Dahlman, Steven Dahlman, Rick Dahlman, Andy Dahlman, Cory Dahlman, and Kiki Dahlman.
Visitation will be Friday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.
Toddy was born May 15, 1932, to William and Tecla (Broz Bostrom) Kutter in Lien Township, Roberts County, South Dakota. She grew up in the New Effington area.
On April 29, 1961, Toddy married Raymond Dahlman at Grace Lutheran Church in Sisseton. To this union, there were three sons, Donald, John and Todd. Ray and Toddy raised their children and farmed southwest of Rosholt. Ray passed away November 2, 2000.
Toddy was a member of Bethania Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going to church, quilting, Bible Study, and visiting with friends.
Toddy loved being out on the farm taking care of her animals and chickens. She always had a big garden and enjoyed canning and tending to her flowers. Toddy was blessed with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved to spend time with. Grandma Toddy had a special place in each one’s heart.
Toddy is survived by her sons, Donny (Stacy) Dahlman, John Dahlman, and Todd Dahlman all of Rosholt; grandchildren, James (Kate), Steven (Steph), Rick (Rose), Andy, Cory, and Kiki (Dré); great-grandchildren, Rhylan, Isla, Nora, Casey, Allis, Ryker, and Sutton; sister-in-law, Marlene Kutter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; parents William and Tecla; daughter-in-law, Michelle; granddaughter, Kirsten Herding; brothers, Earl (Junette) Bostrom, Roy (Rose) Kutter, and Billy Kutter; and sister, Carrie (Arnie) Sjodin.
