Teresa "Terri" Henderson

Teresa "Terri" Henderson, age 80, Wahpeton, ND, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Funeral Services will be Friday, September 22, at 4:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt.

Teresa Mae was born November 24, 1942, to Harry and Margerite (Elton) Hayashi in Carrington, ND. She grew up, attended school, and graduated from high school in Carrington.  She then attended college for two years earning her RN degree from Presentation College in Aberdeen.

During this time, she met Harley Henderson and they were married on December 1, 1962 in Aberdeen.  After their marriage, they lived in Carrington.  They then moved to Dupree, SD, where she worked at the Faith Hospital.  They resided here until December of 1978 then moved to Rosholt until May of 1982.  They then moved to New Effington until May 1988 then back to Rosholt until May of 1991, then back to Dupree where she finished her four-year RN degree in Eagle Butte, SD.  They then made their home in Arlington, TX, where Terri worked as an oncology nurse. Harley passed away April 9, 2012.  In March of 2021, Terri moved to Wahpeton.

Terri's hobbies included flower gardening.  She loved sports, especially following her kids' sporting events.

Survivors include her children, Harley James "Jim" (Tracy) Henderson, Jr., of Weatherford, TX, Tracey JoAnn Henderson of Wahpeton, Shawn Patrick (Caroline) Henderson of Weatherford, Audra Elaine Birkeland of Arlington, TX, and Michael John (Charlotte "Char") Henderson of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Cory (Abby) Iverson & Dilynn, Jensen, Palmer, and Kimber; Kyle (Courtney) Iverson & Crosby, Leni, and Cohen; Anthony (Lauryn) Borman; Brady Borman; Shawna (Justin) Garcia; Trina Kleinschmidt & Carter, Mark, and Finn; Riley Henderson; Tyler (Rebecca) Henderson; Becca Henderson & Carter and Bryson; Hailey (Colton) Hibdon; Kayla (Blake) Heckathorn & Braxton; Cody Henderson; Kiana Henderson; Chelsey Henderson; and Austin (Tatum) Henderson.

Terri was preceded in death by her husband, Harley; parents, Harry and Margerite Hayashi, brother, Roger Hayashi; and sister, Vicki Shannon.
