Tammy G. Schultz, 49, Christine, ND, died Friday, April 3, 2015, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington, with Rev. Suzanne Benidt officiating. Music was provided by organist Edwin Arndt, Jr. and vocalists Bobbi Jo Jelinek, Sherri Hammer Hochstetter and a group of friends.
Burial will be at a later date in the Nidaros Cemetery, Hammer, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be Tammy's nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Jeff Jelinek, Joey Christopherson, John Ebben, David Hansen, Neal Kutter, Randy Hartman and Lon Opdahl.
Visitation was Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation continued Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Tammy was born August 31, 1965, to Arnold and Doris (Hammer) Bredvik, Jr., in Sisseton, SD. She was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington. Tammy attended school in New Effington, graduating from New Effington High School in 1983. She continued her education at NDSCS for two years.
On June 9, 1984, Tammy married Todd Schultz at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington. She lived and worked in the Claire City area until 1995 when they moved to Texas. In 1998, they returned to Fargo and Tammy was employed at Cardinal Health in Moorhead. Tammy and Todd made their home in Christine in 2006.
Tammy's hobbies included painting and gardening. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and her 1974 Cutlass. Tammy especially loved spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Todd of Christine; children, Daren (Sarah Roseth) Schultz of Minot, ND, Deven (Brianna) Schultz of Fargo, and Tara (Joel Emery) Schultz of Fargo; three grandchildren, Colie Schultz, Aya Schultz, and Tucker Schultz; parents, Arnold, Jr., (Rose) Bredvik of Hammer, SD; brothers, Dennis Bredvik of Phoenix, AZ, and Randy (Nancy) Bredvik of New Effington; sisters, Bonnie Ceroll of Sisseton, and Becky (Lon) Opdahl of Utah; parents-in-law, Bob and Cheryl Schultz of Claire City, SD; and sister-in-law, Bobbi Jo (Jeff) Jelinek of Wahpeton, ND.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Doris; brother, Brent; sister LeaAnn; grandparents; and two nephews, Daniel Sloan and Tyler Bredvik.
