Sherry Borgheiinck

Sherry Borgheiinck, 62, Browns Valley, MN, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 7, 2021, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 13, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Browns Valley.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Browns Valley.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the church and will continue Friday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.

Sherry Donna (Jamieson) Borgheiinck arrived from the Lord on November 24th, 1958, to the loving arms of Donna (Stumvoll) and David Jamieson in Martin, SD. She lived in multiple places in her early years and started her education in Kerkhoven, MN. She was baptized by her father at Kerkhoven Presbyterian Church. The family then moved to Browns Valley, MN, and Cedar Bluffs, NE. Sherry graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School in 1977. She attended Anoka Ramsey Community College.

On July 8th, 1978, Sherry was united in marriage to Jeffrey Borgheiinck. The ceremony was officiated by her father at the United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Browns Valley, MN. They lived in Cold Spring, MN, until February of 1979, when they returned to Browns Valley to farm. They farmed together for over 40 years. They were blessed with four wonderful daughters, Tammy, Janna, Carrie, and Holly. Sherry loved being their mother and being able to learn and grow with each child. She cherished going to watch and support her daughters in their activities.

Sherry worked as a paraprofessional for the Browns Valley School for 14 years. Many of these years she also drove a van/suburban route. These were jobs she loved, especially when she could work or visit one on one with a student. Working at school gave her happiness, optimism and purpose.

Sherry also enjoyed being part of community organizations, which included Helping Hands, 4-H, Browns Valley Alumni Association, and the Chicken Coup Group. She was an active member of the United Methodist Presbyterian Church where she served on many church boards and committees. She also served in various roles with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

She enjoyed traveling with her family. One of her favorite places was Garden of the Gods in Colorado. Sherry enjoyed collecting magnets from her travels as well as magnets her daughters brought back from their own adventures. She enjoyed searching for pennies in an effort to complete her penny collections.

Sherry was a wonderful, loving mother who always put her daughters first. She would stop what she was doing to be with her daughters whenever they needed her, no matter what. In 2018 she became a grandma. Her four grandchildren brought her so much joy and she loved them dearly.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jeffrey, of Browns Valley; daughters Tammy, Janna, Carrie (Brady Barker), and Holly (Daren Koeppe); grandchildren Clara and Emery Barker, Noah and Jonah Koeppe; mother Donna Jamieson, sister Kristi Jamieson; mother-in-law Kathleen Borgheiinck; sisters-in-law Becky Schulz (Lary), Linda Borgheiinck (James), Deborah (Steven) Thissen; and nieces and nephews.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father David Jamieson; and her father-in-law, Joseph Borgheiinck.
