Sandra K. Fisher

Sandra K. Fisher, 72, Sisseton, SD, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in hospice care after a long battle with kidney failure.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Sisseton with Rev. LeRoy Boender officiating. Music will be provided by organist Estelle Pearson, Alan Dykstra, and Sandy's granddaughters.

Burial will be in the Sisseton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Dykstra, Perry Dykstra, Mark Dykstra, Scott Dykstra, Harlan Hilleson and Keith Guy.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the church chapel and will continue Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.  The Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, SD, is in charge of the arrangements.

Sandra Katherine was born July 5, 1944, to Lester and Dorothy (Robert) Dykstra in Sisseton. She attended school in Rosholt, graduating from Rosholt High School in 1962.

Sandy was united in marriage to Osa "O.J." Fisher in 1965 at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt. They lived and worked in Sisseton. O.J. passed away April 22, 2010.

Sandy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Sisseton and was active in her church circle. She enjoyed playing cards and having coffee with the neighbor ladies. She also loved spending time at the cabin on Lake Traverse.

Survivors include her children, Michael and Tricia Fisher, Michelle and Scott Nelson and Patrick Fisher, all of Sisseton, Paul Fisher (Bobbi Brown) of Harrisburg, SD, and Susanne and Richard Tenold of Chester, SD; stepsons, Robert and Peggy Fisher and Monte Fisher of Sisseton; her grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, O.J., infant daughter, Melissa; stepson Charles and brother, Earl Dykstra.
