Ruth Klicker

Ruth E. Klicker, age 85, of Wheaton, MN, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Meadow Lane Health Care Center in Benson, MN.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 29, at 1:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, SD, with Rev. Suzanne Benidt officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, White Rock, SD.  Pallbearers will be Jonathon Englund, Daniel Fischer, Nathan Klicker, Scott Klicker, William Marek, and Larry Englund.

Ruth Eleanor was born May 25, 1933, to Henry and Cora (Mills) Swanson in Traverse County, MN.  She attended country school in Traverse County and graduated from the Morris Agricultural School in 1951.

On January 11, 1953, Ruth married Donald Paul Klicker at the Augustana Lutheran Church in White Rock, SD.  Ruth spent her life as a homemaker and farm wife.  She also ran a small candy business from her home.  Don passed away December 18, 2011.

Ruth enjoyed doing various crafts, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also loved reading and tending to her flowers.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Karen) Klicker of Menahga, MN, Audrey (Robert) Fischer of Bonaire, GA, Linda (Michael) Wanek of Doran, MN, and Jane Englund of Wheaton; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marcy Boone and Carol Walker; sister-in-law, Hazel Klicker; and brother-in-law, Cal Anderson.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Donald; and son, Gary.
