Rose M. Enwiller

Rose M. Enwiller, 97, Rosholt, SD, died on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at the Rosholt Care Center in Rosholt, SD.
Funeral mass was Friday, December 17, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Rosholt with Father Dennis Deis, O.M.I., officiating.  Music was provided by organist Lana Sand.
Burial was in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, rural Rosholt.  Pallbearers were Joey Enwiller, Jerry Peterson, Mark Enwiller, Jim Peterson, Keith Hahn and Jim Arneson.
Visitation was Thursday, December 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt.  Visitation continued Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Rose Margaret was born to George and Mary (Ludowese) LeClair on March 27, 1913, in Crawford, SD.  Rose graduated from South Dakota Public Schools in July of 1927.
On November 18, 1935, Rose married Walter Harry Enwiller at St. John's Catholic Church.  To this union three children, Vernon, Jerome and Diane were born.  They lived and farmed the Enwiller family homestead south of Rosholt.  In 1980, Walt and Rose moved into Rosholt.  In 2001, Walt and Rose made the Rosholt Care Center their home.  Walt died December 22, 2004.
Rose enjoyed baking, quilting, collecting dolls and gardening.  Many weekends during the summer months, Rose and Walt would attend auction sales in Rosholt and the surrounding communities.  Rose was active with St. John's Altar Society where she and the other members made countless rosaries for distribution to missions around the world.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Diane Laue (Bill Walts) of Sun City Center, FL; 12 grandchildren, Jacque (Monty) Riggs, Jon (Hollis) Enwiller, Michelle (Heather Schram) Enwiller, Mark (Stefani) Enwiller, Michael Enwiller, Jennifer (Jeff) Pennington, Annette (Keith) Hahn, Lisa M. Braun, Joey (Crystal) Enwiller, Jerry Peterson, Deborah McGinty, and Jim (Bridget) Peterson; 23 great-grandchildren, Aspen Enwiller, Garret and Dylan Enwiller, Michael, Kyle, Mark, and Anthony Enwiller, Justin and Stephen Schram, Blake and Pressley Enwiller, Jordyn and Jake Pennington, Ryan (Emily) Hahn, Aaron (Kaley Geisler) Hahn, Christopher (Jessica Simpson) Hahn, Jared Hahn, Fayez (Emily Barse) Khalil, Kymberlea and Jacob Braun, Ethan and Tanner Enwiller, and Connor Peterson; 2 great-great grandchildren, Deegan Hahn and Alexis Engebretson; and several nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary; her husband, Walter; her sons, Vernon and Jerome; and three sisters, Angeline Griffith, Genevive Kinn and Cecelia Archambeau.
