Robert "Buster" Andresen, 69, Rosholt, SD, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Funeral services were Tuesday, November 27, at 3:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating. Music was provided by Layne and Betsy Moeller.
Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery, Rosholt. Pallbearers were Michael, Mark, Christopher and Craig Keller, Sheila Abraham, and Bruce, Andrea and Keanna Piechowski.
Visitation was Tuesday from noon until the time of service.
Robert Michael Andresen was born August 12, 1943, at Wheaton, MN, to Carl and Julia (Pillsbury) Andresen. He was baptized, confirmed, and a member of the United Methodist Church in Rosholt. He went to rural school at East Harmon North #1.
Buster farmed with his parents. He cared for his parents in their declining years until they entered nursing homes. He then took over the family farms, living there for 67 years. His health declined in 2009. In February of 2010 he entered Countryside Inn Assisted Living in Rosholt. He now enjoyed a large loving family after living alone so many years.
Buster enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, cats and going for walks. He was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and loved to visit. Buster was also known for his great memory.
Surviving Buster are sisters, Julie Piechowski of Fairmount, ND, and Louisa (Kenny) Keller of Paynesville, MN; sister-in-law, Barbara Andresen of Aulander, NC; eight nephews; six nieces; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frederick; brother-in-law, Leo Piechowski; three nephews; and one niece.
