Raymond H. Petrick, 99, Rosholt, SD, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Northeast Care and Rehabilitation Center in Rosholt.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating. Music will be provided by organist Ruby Larsen and vocalist Lana Sand.

Burial will be in the Bethania Lutheran Cemetery, Rosholt. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Ray's nephews – Bob, Allen, Terry, Dale, and Bruce Eggers; Pete Erdahl, Carl Hansen, Ron Lick, Butch Meyer, Stan Cornelius, Ron Anderson, David Nelson and Jim Larsen. Active pallbearers will be Andrew Rindelaub, Thomas Rindelaub, Jim Campbell, Ken Luebke, Gary Winter, and Bob Wurl.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt. Visitation will continue Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests memorials be directed to the Northeast Care Center, Bethania Lutheran Church or the Rosholt Ambulance.

Raymond Henry was born May 27, 1917, to Edward and Minnie (Wurl) Petrick in Richland County, ND. He attended Grummons rural school through the eighth grade and graduated from Rosholt High School in 1935. After finishing school, Ray helped area farmers and worked at the creamery in Rosholt with his father.

On June 30, 1941, Ray married Marianne Eggers in Browns Valley, MN. In 1949, Ray purchased Petrick's Produce which he owned and operated until the mid 1960s. He then began selling feed for Murphy Feeds. After retiring from Murphy Feeds, he ran a milk delivery route and was custodian at Bethania Lutheran Church. Marianne passed away August 25, 1991. Ray made his home in the Rosholt Care Center in July 2011.

Ray was a member of the Rosholt Lions Club and the Rosholt Commercial Club.

Ray loved golfing, bowling and baseball. He played baseball for Rosholt in the Land of Ducks League for many years. He was also an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. Ray also enjoyed shaking dice with the coffee crew, bird hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two daughters, Karla (Clarence) Wohlwend of Spearfish, SD, and Paula (Hans) Rindelaub of Sturgis, SD; six grandchildren, Tracey (Kevin) Miley of Brookings, Kyle (Natalie) Wohlwend of Beaufort, SC, Kris (Vince) Stark of Whitewood, SD, Andrew (Kettie) Rindelaub of Redfield, SD, Liz Holler of Whitewood, SD, and Thomas Rindelaub of Sturgis; eleven great-grandchildren, Alex, Ryan, Carson, Kayla, Mya, Eva, Andy, Alex, Ethan, Evan and Eli.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne; son, Kevin; and brother, Clarence.
