Paulette Ceroll

Paulette J. Ceroll, age 70, New Effington, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington.

Burial will be in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, New Effington.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt and will continue Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Paulette Joan was born on October 25, 1952, in Breckenridge, MN, to Herbert and Alyce (Smith) Schultz. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in New Effington, SD, graduating in 1970.  In 1973 she happily welcomed Jerry Born.

On December 12, 1987, she married David Ceroll. To this union David H. Ceroll was born in 1988.

In 1997 her first granddaughter, Tristan, was born, and in 2007 granddaughter MaKynlee was welcomed. She enjoyed watching her granddaughters and would do anything for them. Paulette was very proud of her sons and granddaughters (even when her adult boys would call her late at night or jump in bed with her and David after a night out).

Paulette enjoyed playing Spades, driving her golf cart around town, and helping out at Mikey's and the New Effington Liquor Store. She could usually be found watching the NDSU Bison, her Westerns, and the Hallmark channel. She enjoyed playing Bingo to support the New Effington Fire Department.

She is survived by husband David Ceroll of New Effington; sons Jerry (Nancy) Born of Breckenridge, MN, and Davey (Niki) Ceroll of New Effington; granddaughters Tristan Born and MaKynlee Ceroll; bonus grandkids Jaron, Avery and Braxton of New Effington, and Aspen (Tre) Gillaspie and great-grandson Styles of Sioux Falls; and siblings Darlene (Jim) Miller of New Effington and Karen (Rick) Foltz of Rosholt.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Alyce Schultz; and brother Dale "Herbie" Schultz.
