Patrick "Pat" G. Miller
Patrick G. Miller, 64, Browns Valley, MN, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015, at his home in Browns Valley.
Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, November 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley with Father David Breu officiating. Music was provided by organist Carmen Hills and vocalists Sue Sykora and Stacey Borgheiinck.
Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Browns Valley. Honorary urn bearers were Pat's nieces and nephews, Darin and Kim Ziemer, Daniel and Karna Ziemer, Kari and Cody Jaskulka, Brett Ziemer, Elissa and Donnie Hoberg, Chris and Amber Metz, Tyler Metz, Nick Metz, Mickinzie Metz, Jacob Miller, Jordan Miller, and Chelsey Miller. Active urn bearers were Tony Miller and Brad Ziemer.
Visitation was Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the church in Browns Valley.
Patrick Gordon Miller was born January 19, 1951, to Gordon L. and Alice (Haanen) Miller in Browns Valley, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Browns Valley. Pat attended school in Browns Valley, graduating from Browns Valley High School in 1969.
After graduation, Pat moved to Minneapolis and worked at the Elk River Cement Factory. He returned to Browns Valley and drove truck for his father for a year. He then bought his own gravel truck and later his own semi.
On October 18, 1986, Pat married Joan Heck at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Browns Valley. Pat continued to drive truck, hauling grain and delivering culverts for Hancock Concrete.
Pat's hobbies included restoring classic cars and attending car shows. He also enjoyed cruising on the weekends, and having breakfast with the guys.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of Browns Valley; two children, Tony (Lacey) Miller of Browns Valley and Dane Miller of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Dasani and Daxtin Miller of Browns Valley; a sister, Linda Miller of Peyton, CO; two brothers, David (Joyce) Miller of Starbuck, MN, and James Miller of Browns Valley; and mother-in-law, Marietta Heck of Browns Valley.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Alice Miller; and children, Katrina and Matthew Miller.
