Mildred C. Olson, age 96, Rosholt, SD, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, MN.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating.  Music will be provided by organist Ruby Larsen and vocalists Paul and Diane Bartnick.

Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Rosholt.  Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and residents of the Rosholt Care Center and the Traverse Care Center.  Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Doug and Mike Oletzke, Rob and Brian Eggers, Brad Eggers, Jason and Kelly Eggers, Jamie Broz, Joey Enwiller, Steve and Tim Eggers, and Jonathan and Jeremy Eggers.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt.  Visitation will continue Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mildred Celia was born October 12, 1921, in Harmon Township, Roberts County, SD, to Robert and Edith (Hardy) Blair.  Millie was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in rural Rosholt.  She attended country school in rural Harmon Township and high school in Fairmount, ND.

On September 9, 1938, Millie married Orlen Eggers at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in rural Rosholt.  They were blessed with eight children.  Orlen and Millie lived and farmed south of Rosholt until 1960.  In 1960, they moved to Lake Traverse and owned and operated Eggers Resort.

They later moved back to the Rosholt area.  Millie was employed as a cook at the Rosholt Care Center when it opened in 1968 until her retirement in 1986.  Orlen passed away in 1970, and Millie moved into Rosholt.

In 1977, Millie married Orrin "Bud" Olson at Walla Lutheran in rural New Effington.  They lived near Victor, SD, until Bud's death in 1984.  Millie then made her home in Rosholt.  She entered the Rosholt Care Center in 2000 and lived there until November of 2016.  She then moved to the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, MN, where she lived out her life.

Millie enjoyed bowling, dancing and all music, especially country.

Survivors include her children, Robert and Dorothy Eggers of Minneapolis, MN, Allen and Margaret Eggers of New Effington, Terry Eggers of Rosholt, Carol and Doug Broz of Rosholt, Bonnie and Roger Warrington of Webster, SD, Dale and Jean Eggers of Carrington, ND, and Bruce and Linda Eggers of Roosevelt, AZ; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Patty Christensen of Rosholt, and Peggy Eggers of Graceville, MN.

Millie was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; a son, Larry Eggers; and six grandchildren.
