Mary Olson Portanova

Mary Eileen (Olson) Portanova was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota on February 14, 1943.  She was raised in Rosholt, South Dakota and lived in many different states throughout her life.  She died peacefully at home in Escondido, CA on January 17, 2021 at the age of 77.  She was surrounded by her family and beloved cat.  She is survived by her husband, Peter, her two children  Shannah and Scott, and her sister Evelea Heer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis (Wetherbee) and Isadore Olson from Rosholt,South Dakota.

She was an inspiration to her family and friends.  Her generosity and shining spirit positively affected all those around her.  Everyone who knew her was aware of her life long love of everything Elvis.  It was one of her most endearing qualities. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
