Marvin John Kleindl, 56, Beardsley, MN, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville, MN, with Fr. Brian Oestreich officiating. The organist will be Deb Farwell and the vocalists will be Deb Stueve, Sandi Bauer, Chris Weick and Jean Costello.

Burial will be at a later date in the Graceville Consolidated Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Jesse S. Poole American Legion Post 297 of Graceville. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin's nieces and nephews and the Beardsley Fire Department. Active pallbearers will be Dominic Kipp, Kenny Hansen, Jason Grooters, Richard Melcher, Justin Kleindl, Tyson Genzler, and Larry Schmitz.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Visitation will continue Saturday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.

Marvin John Kleindl was born June 28, 1963, to Edward Leo "Bing" and Joyce Louise (Wohlers) Kleindl in Graceville, MN. He was baptized at St. Barnabus Catholic Church in Barry, MN. Marvin attended school in Graceville graduating from Graceville High School in 1983. He graduated from Willmar Vocational School as a diesel mechanic in 1985.

On July 21, 1990, Marvin married Rebecca Haukos. To this union, two sons were born, Nicholas Norris and Christopher Marvin. Marv and Rebecca were divorced June 29, 2011. Marvin worked for Bituminous Paving. He also served in the National Guard for twelve years. He was employed at Clinton Graceville Beardsley School district as a custodian and bus driver. Marvin retired from the Beardsley Fire Department.

Marvin's hobbies included fishing, hunting, Demolition Derbies, and going to the Casino. He was very talented at drawing and made cartoon characters out of numbers and letters. Always the jokester, Marvin had the gift of conversation.

Survivors include his sons, Nicholas and Christopher of Beardsley; brother, Douglas "Bubba" (Brenda) Kleindl of Graceville; sisters, Veronica (Jeff) Genzler of Clinton and Jennifer (Curtis) Cardwell of Pelican Rapids, MN; nephews and nieces, Justin Kleindl, Megan (Dave) Hoffman, Whitney Kleindl, Alaina Kleindl, Lucasta Genzler, Tyson (Paige) Genzler, Myles Genzler, Talen (Bob) Genzler, Heather (Josh) Case, Hana (James) Faul, Corbin Cardwell, and Hope Cardwell; five great-nieces; seven great-nephews; one great-great-niece; and special family friend Earl Rahn.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Bing and Joyce.
