Marion C. Ebel, age 76, New Effington, SD, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at Bethany Home in Alexandria, MN.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in New Effington with Rev. Cheryl Rondeau-Bassett officiating. Music will be provided by Deb Bredvik.
Burial will be in the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Cemetery, Lidgerwood, ND. Pallbearers will be Christopher Anonen, Tylor Ebel, Jaden Ebel, Daren Medenwald, Vern Olson and Mike Jenz.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, SD, and will continue Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Marion Carrie was born November 30, 1940, to Clarence and Bertha (Weinkauf) Kutter in Richland County, ND. She graduated from Hankinson High School. Following graduation, she moved to Minneapolis, MN, and worked as a typist.
On May 27, 1962, Marion married Lance Ebel in Hankinson. After their marriage, she worked at the New Effington bank and was the manager of the Roberts County Telephone office. She then moved to Albert Lea, MN, and was employed at Freeborn Electric Company and later to Watertown, SD, where she worked as an office manager at the Dakota Sioux Casino. In 2012, Marion moved to Alexandria, MN.
Marion enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, gambling and playing cards. She loved spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Troy (Shelly) Ebel of Hennepin, IL, Guy (Bonae) Ebel of Alexandria, MN, Todd Ebel of Hastings, MN, and Chad Ebel of Rapid City, SD; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Genevieve Kutter of Lidgerwood, ND.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Harvey Kutter.
