Lori Clements

Lori Kay Clements went to her heavenly home after a long battle with MS on September 29, 2024, under the care of Grace Home Nursing Staff and Knute-Nelson Hospice Care.  She had been saying for weeks, "I just want to be with Jesus."

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation before starting at 9:00 a.m. at Trinity-Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Johnson, MN, with Pastor Donald Main officiating.  The service will be live streamed on the Trinity-Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Facebook page.

Burial will be held immediately after the service at the Trinity Cemetery.

Lori was born August 18, 1960, in Graceville, MN, to the late Louie and Irene (Zimmerman) Duin. She grew up on the family farm in Johnson, MN. Lori graduated from Graceville High School in 1978.  She attended Alexandria Area Technical Institute in the Clerical Office Assistant Program graduating in May of 1979.  After finishing school, she worked at various jobs in the Twin Cities as an accounts receivable assistant.

On August 30, 1986, she married Robert Clements at Trinity Lutheran Church in Johnson.  Bob preceded her in death in March of 2000 which was a very difficult time for her.

Lori enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and shopping for bling!  Over the years she loved her cats!  She enjoyed playing piano and organ and used to play organ here at Trinity Lutheran Church. She especially enjoyed the Christmas Eve Service when she was in grade school at Trinity Lutheran School, and then enjoyed the service throughout her life coming home for the Christmas Eve Service with her favorite song being "Glory to God the Angels Sing" and requested this to be sung at her funeral.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Irene Duin; husband, Bob Clements; brother, Dennis Duin; and sister Carole Duin.

Lori is survived by her brothers, Duane Duin of Johnson, MN, Keith (Sherry) Duin of Palm City, FL, Myron (Birdie) Duin of Howards Grove, WI; sister, LuAnn (Terry) Reich of Prescott, WI; sister-in-law, Cora Duin of Louisville, NE; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who mourn her death.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lori's memory can be made to Trinity-Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Johnson, MN, or Grace Home in Graceville, MN.
