Lloyd Englund

Lloyd Englund, 77, Rosholt, died Thursday, October 8, 2020, at his home in rural Rosholt.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt. Masks are recommended. Honorary pallbearers will be Darcy Englund, Larry Englund, Dale Oletzke, Tucker Eveslage, Broderick Eveslage and Gavin Englund.

Lloyd Norman Englund was born June 15, 1943, to Oscar and Lola (Heifner) Englund in Breckenridge, MN.  He was baptized into the Lutheran faith on July 18, 1947. Lloyd attended rural school at East Harmon in rural Rosholt and graduated from the Morris Ag School in Morris, MN, in 1961.  After finishing school, he began farming with his dad and brother LeRoy.

On April 6, 1964, Lloyd married Marilyn Kietzman. They were blessed with three children, Amy, Neil and Brandon. He continued to farm south of Rosholt.  He married Sharon Orth in November 1981. In 1995, Lloyd moved to Aberdeen and worked at RDO Equipment. He retired and moved back to Rosholt in 2006.

Lloyd enjoyed his farm and farming the land, which he did until last year with the help of his nephew Darcy. He was able to build and fix anything mechanical and was known to "make new things better" before he used them.  He also loved hunting, fishing, smoking meats, making wine and gardening.

Survivors include his children, Amy Englund of Fargo, Neil Englund and Shamarie Olson of Moorhead, MN, and Brandon Englund of Aberdeen, SD; grandchildren, Tucker Eveslage, Broderick Eveslage, Cambrya Englund, Arya Englund, Kyleigh Englund, Gavin Englund and Regan Englund; sister, Delores and Roger Oletzke of Browns Valley, MN; sister-in-law, Marcy Johnson of Rosholt; and nephews and nieces, Darcy (Eileen) Englund and Larry (Ember) Englund of Rosholt, Twila (Ed) Homan of Beardsley, MN, Brenda (Bob) Zabel of Browns Valley, Dale (Kristi) Oletzke of Sisseton, SD, Peggy (Dennis) Duffield of Browns Valley, and Trudy (John) Determan of Wheaton, MN.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and brother, LeRoy.
