Kathleen A Ewert

Kathleen Ewert, 62, Graceville, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2011, at Grace Home in Graceville, MN.
Memorial services were Wednesday, August 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville with Father David Breu officiating. Music was provided by organist Debra Farwell and the Holy Rosary Choir.
Burial was at the Clinton City Cemetery, Clinton, MN. Honorary urnbearers were her nieces and nephews.
Visitation was one hour before the service on Wednesday.
Kathy Ann Ewert was born on September 14, 1948 in Graceville, MN to Paul and Ethel (Fitzharris) Ewert. She graduated in 1966 from Graceville High School. That same week she packed her bags, purchased her Greyhound bus ticket and off to the big city for fame and fortune she went. She spent the next 35 years living and working in the Twin Cities before returning home to Graceville to spend the remainder of her life.
She was a fantastic daughter, sister and aunt. Everyone who met her liked her and they were drawn to her great personality. She liked to go for long walks and to take her nieces and nephews with her. She would play in the rain with them or run through sprinklers. She loved to read and visit with people. She loved music and loved to dance; she basically loved life to the fullest. She will be missed by all.
Survivors include one sister, Carleen (Wayne) Peterson of Becker, MN; three brothers, Richard (Jackie) Ewert of Apple Valley, MN, Robert (Patricia) Ewert of Graceville, MN, and Mark Ewert of Shakopee, MN; 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 8 great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John.
