Jill was born on June 23, 1966, in Sisseton, SD to Larry and LaVonne (Edlund) Ringsaker and grew up in Victor. She attended elementary school in Sisseton before the family moved to Rosholt in 1974. Jill graduated from Rosholt High School in 1984. She married RJ Lick and had her first daughter, Jennifer, the same year.
Jill married Dale Ceroll on March 24, 1997, in Sisseton and had their son, Kendal, the same year. The Cerolls made their home first in Rosholt, then moved their house the five miles to Victor in 1994. The Cerolls ran the popular Victor Supper Club from 1992 to 2012, the same establishment Jill worked at throughout high school for Rocky Holmstrom and Jack Brandell. In the midst of the hectic restaurant business, daughter, Erica, was born in 2000.
While running the well-known steakhouse, Jill enjoyed working at Ron's Jack and Jill in Rosholt, as well as the post office and RC Technology, both in New Effington. She then began working at Dacotah Bank in Sisseton where she formed lasting relationships with coworkers and customers alike. Jill was also employed at Lewis Drug in Sisseton. Most recently she worked as a paraprofessional at the White Rock Colony School where she loved the students as much as they loved Mrs. Ceroll.
Jill served many years as a volunteer EMT and driver for the Rosholt Ambulance. She enjoyed softball pitching where her mom played first base and sister played third. She also liked crafting and loved weekends at the lake enjoying pontooning and sitting around the fire with friends. Her true passion was creating scrapbooks for her children, nieces and nephews, and taking photos of her two beloved grandchildren, Bristol Kay and Deklan Cole, and her grandpuppies. Family was everything to Jill, being thrust into the role of matriarch and relishing in that role.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Dale; her three children, Jennifer (Michael) Cote of Fargo, ND, Kendal (Mel) Ceroll of Sisseton, and Erica (Nick MacConnell) Ceroll of Sisseton; her two grandchildren, Bristol Ceroll and Deklan MacConnell; mother-in-law, Janet Ceroll of New Effington; siblings, James (Lindsee) Ringsaker of Clinton, MN, Johnny (Jolene Anderson) Ringsaker of Hankinson, ND, and Jolynn (Ross Sasse) Werner of Breckenridge, MN; brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Mike (Brenda) Ceroll of New Effington, Sherri (Jim) Schiltz of Hankinson, Larry (MeLinda) Ceroll of Rosholt, Brent Ceroll of Lidgerwood, ND, and Kevin (Kim) Ceroll of Breckenridge; 16 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces-and-nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and lifelong friends.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and LaVonne; her fathers-in-law, Marvin Ceroll and Ronnie Ceroll; grandparents, Lloyd and Leona Stowe and Jack and Myrtle Ringsaker; and aunts and uncles.
