Jeffrey "Jeff" George Birchem, Riceville, IA, formerly of Browns Valley, MN, passed away on August 7, 2017, at Mitchell County Medical Facility in Osage, IA.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 14, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Rosholt. Jeff will be buried next to his best friend, his dad, at a later date.
Jeff was born on July 2, 1964, to William and Adeline (Meyer) Birchem in Hankinson, ND. Jeff graduated high school in Browns Valley, MN, in 1984. On February 18, 1989, he married his love Johna Reiman and together they had four sons: Jacob, Jeremy, Justin and Jared. They made their home in Riceville, IA.
Jeff held many careers during his life including working for Argo Truck Lines and Bell Farms. Jeff loved being on the open road between driving his semi and going for long rides on his motorcycle with his wife, sister Jackie, and brother-in-law Randy. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and going on all sorts of new adventures.
Jeff always had a joke to tell and we will miss him every day.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Johna (Reiman); four sons, Jacob, Jeremy, Justin and Jared; mother, Adeline (Meyer) Birchem; sister, Jackie (Randy) Kubitz; brother, Jody (Janet) Birchem; sister, Julie Birchem; sister-in-law Delta Lentsch. Jeff is preceded in death by his father, William Birchem; mother-in-law, Gladys (Reiman) German; brother-in-law, Trent (Bobbi) German; and aunts and uncles.
