Jeanette M. Moeller, 66, Chokio, MN, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 1, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chokio, MN, with Father Stanley Wieser officiating. Music will be provided by organist Becky Draper.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Chokio.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. The Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, SD, is in charge of the arrangements.
Jeanette Marie was born October 24, 1949, to Alvin "Butch" and Vange (Speier) Carlson in Graceville, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville. She attended school in Graceville, graduating from Graceville High School in 1967. In 1970, Jeanette graduated from the St. Cloud School of Nursing in St. Cloud, MN. After finishing school, she worked for the St. Cloud Hospital, for Dr. Balentine, and was a member of the Minnesota Board of Diabetes.
On September 2, 1978, Jeanette married Leonard Moeller in St. Cloud. She continued working at the St. Cloud Hospital until moving to Powell, WY, where they owned and operated a livestock sales barn. They then moved to Rockville, MN, and then to Chokio where Jeanette worked at Holy Trinity Hospital in Graceville, the CCA Corporation in Appleton, MN, and the West Wind Village in Morris, MN. Leonard passed away in 1991.
Jeanette's hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking, sewing and attending auctions. She also enjoyed collecting cookbooks and dishware.
Survivors include her children, Leonard (Megan) Moeller of South St. Paul, MN, and Scott Moeller of Alberta, MN; friends, Don and Mollie of Chokio; a sister, Ginny Cornelius of Leavenworth, KS; and a niece Jessica (Jason) Fullen and their children Bryce and Micah of Leavenworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
