Hezekiel "Zeke" Kleinsasser, White Rock Colony, rural Rosholt, SD, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at a Fargo, ND, hospital.
Hezekiel "Zeke" Joseph Kleinsasser was born at Rockport Colony near Mitchell, SD, to Joseph and Maria (Knels) Kleinsasser on March 26, 1938. He later moved to the Rosedale Colony. He made his confession of faith in Christ at the Rosedale Colony Community Church in April 1954.
On August 2, 1959, Zeke married Sarah Tschetter. They were together 52 years and 11 months. On February 28, 1968, they moved to the White Rock Colony near Rosholt where he resided with his family until his death.
Zeke served the community with numerous jobs which he did faithfully until his illness forced him to retire.
Zeke was an outgoing and caring person, skilled in his work ethics, who enjoyed the community way of life. Dad could fix anything and proved it many times. He knew what "well done" meant. Nothing was too great nor heavy burdened that Dad did not do well and with grace, a treasure he passed onto his children.
Zeke loved singing, drawing great comfort and strength from German songs of faith, and was devoted to singing with his family.
Zeke leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sarah and their nine children: Zeke (Karen) Lewistown, Montana, Paul (Heather) Oklahoma, Margaret (Peter) Deerfield Colony, Marian (Elie) White Rock Colony, Annamarie Harwood, North Dakota, William (Emma) White Rock Colony, Allen (Delia) White Rock Colony, Kenneth (Kathryn) White Rock Colony, Serena (Ray) Kindred, North Dakota, 42 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 brother and 2 sisters: Herman (Katrina) White Rock Colony, Maria Millerdale Colony, Susie (Eddie) Maple River Colony, and sister-in-law: Sarah Millerdale Colony.
Preceding him in death are his parents: Joseph and Maria, six brothers: Joseph, John, Mike, Jack, Edward, and Solomon, and two great-grandchildren: Jacob and Branden.
