Helen M. Grimli

Helen Marie (Minahan) Grimli, 82, Browns Valley, MN, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 11, 2013, at the Coteau Des Prairies Hospital in Sisseton, SD.
Per Helen's request, there will be no services. An Irish Wake and Reunion will be held next year to remember her life and the impact she had on everyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Memorials can be made to the local humane societies, as this was a passion of Helen's. The Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, SD, is in charge of the arrangements.
Helen Marie was an awesome, loving, and kind woman who would give anything to make everyone else happy. Helen worked tirelessly at any job she had to include baking endless amounts of goodies for family and friends. She volunteered numerous hours at the Senior Center and did not know how and when to retire, much less spell it.
Surviving Helen are her son, Gerald (Vicki) Grimli of Milbank, SD; daughters, Violet Frisch of Eau Claire, WI, Paula Schuler of Shelton, WA, Marilyn Ortiz of Olympia, WA; six grandchildren, Anila, Rhonda, Robert, Andrea, Ikaika, & Keola; step-grandchild, Sabrina; six great- grandchildren, Garrett, Samantha, Tanner, Hayley, Gracie, & Angel; brothers, Pat Minahan of Ortonville, MN, Richard (Donna) Minahan of Des Moines, IA, and Jim (Ret) Minahan of Casper, WY; sisters, Margaret (Wayne) Seeley of Pierre, SD, Lucy (Tank) Thomas of Albany, MN, Carol Weick of Graceville, MN, Donna (Rich) Frisch of Dumont, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald & Dorothy; daughter, Rosemary; sister, Alice; granddaughter, Angel; son- in- law, Lloyd; two brothers- in- law, a sister- in- law, two great nieces, and a great nephew.
