Elizabeth A. Lick, 42, Rosholt, SD, died Monday, October 24, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
Funeral services were Thursday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Rosholt with Father Dennis Deis, OMI, officiating. Music was provided by organist Lana Sand and vocalists Jasmine Swartz, Bobby Baune, Kyle Schiltz and Stacy Foerster.
Burial was in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, rural Rosholt. Pallbearers were Aaron Deal, Mike Young, Earl Hirchert, Ron J. Lick, Dan Lick, and Ward Schumacher.
Visitation was Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt. There was a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Rosholt.
Elizabeth Anne was born April 16, 1969, in Wheaton, MN, to John and Lois (Backman) Deal. She was baptized and confirmed at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton. Elizabeth attended school in Wheaton graduating from Wheaton High School in 1987. She then attended North Dakota State University graduating in 1991 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, she began working at 3M in Wahpeton, ND.
On July 3, 1993, Elizabeth married Donald Lick at the Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton. Elizabeth continued to work at 3M. She was then employed at the F & M Bank, the Rosholt School and currently was working at the Great Western Bank in Rosholt.
Elizabeth enjoyed the lake, flowers, taking pictures, playing piano, and Diet Coke. She especially loved attending her children's sporting events, helping her kids with 4-H, and visiting friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie of Rosholt; four children, April, Hailey, Dylan, and Tana, all at home; parents, John and Lois Deal of Wheaton; three sisters, Angela (Mike) Young of Wheaton, Stephanie Evenstad of Eagle River, AK, and Mary (Earl) Hirchert of Wilton, ND; a brother, Aaron (Tracy) Deal of Wheaton; her grandmother, Florence Deal of Wheaton; her parents-in-law, Ron and Carole Lick of Rosholt; sister-in-law, Laura (Ward) Schumacher of Aberdeen, SD; brothers-in-law, R.J. (Kay) Lick of Rosholt, and Dan (Heather) Lick of Rosholt; and many nieces and nephews.
