Eileen (Nelson) Johnson

Eileen R. (Nelson) Johnson, 57, Sedalia, CO, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at her residence.
Memorial services were Friday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt, SD, with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating. Music was provided by organist Cindy Marohl.
Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery, Rosholt.
Eileen Renee was born November 10, 1956, to Delmar and Irene (Ness) Nelson. She attended school in Rosholt, graduating from Rosholt High School in 1975. In 1976, she married Billy Grieve in Rosholt. She later moved to Sturgis and worked at Fort Meade.
Eileen married Anton Johnson in 1989 at Fort Meade. In 1991 she got her administrative assistant degree from Black Hills State University. Eileen earned a bachelor's degree in business management from DeVry University in 2006.
Eileen enjoyed 4 wheeling, camping, traveling, and reading mystery novels. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Eileen loved attending her older grandchildren's sporting events. She loved all the time she got to spend with her younger grandchildren over that past three years. She loved taking trips to Iowa, New Mexico, and California with her daughter and grandkids. She recently flew to San Francisco with her son and daughter to attend her niece's wedding. She traveled to New York, Pennsylvania, California, and Oregon with her husband. She was always up for a road trip.
Eileen was fun loving and always up for a new adventure. She lived her life to the fullest and never let her disease define her.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Anton; her son, Chad and Mari Grieve of Arvada, CO; daughter, Carinda and Joseph Otte of Aurora, CO; her grandchildren, Alycia-17, Ethan-13, Madison-3, and Mason-1; her brother, David and Sharon Nelson of Modesto, CA; nephew, Jeremiah; and niece, Danielle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Irene Nelson; and sister, Sharlene Nelson.
