Don F. Moeller, 87, Rosholt, SD, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Sanford Medical Center in Wheaton, MN.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Lutheran Church, rural Rosholt with Rev. Suzanne Benidt and Rev. Robert Beasley officiating. Music was provided by organist Lana Sand and vocalists Layne and Betsy Moeller.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, rural Rosholt. Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons, Korey Moeller, Connor Moeller, Kyle Feliciano and Vincent Feliciano and Alan Moeller, Ted Moeller, Randy Winge, David Pierce, Bill Pierce, Steve Tiner, nieces, nephews and friends. Active pallbearers were Tommy Pierce, Gary Overberg, Bob Ward, Rod Westby, Greg Johnson, Paul Meyer, James Moeller and Jon Moeller.
Visitation was Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Don was born February 4, 1928, to Rudolph and Bertice (Swartz) Moeller in Huron, SD. He attended country school in Harmon Township and then Morris Agricultural School. After finishing school, he farmed near Rosholt. During the winter, Don did carpentry work along with traveling. He worked in many states, including Texas, California and Michigan.
On March 10, 1962, Don married Liddie Pierce in Houston, TX. After farming his entire life, Don retired in 2005. During the 1970s, Don was a life insurance salesman and during the early 1980s to the present time was a Shaklee distributor.
Don was a member of the National Farmers Organization. He loved fishing and went on several fishing trips to the Missouri River and Canada with friends. Don also enjoyed basketball and attended most of the girls' basketball games.
Survivors include his wife, Liddie of Rosholt; son, Brad (Maria) Moeller of Watertown, SD; grandchildren, Korey and Connor Moeller; and Kyle and Vincent Feliciano; and a sister, Mona Moeller of Durango, CO.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
