David A. Dahl, 83, Rosholt, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at Sanford Wheaton Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating. Music will be provided by pianist Todd Quatier. The service will be livestreamed on the Bethania-Trondhjem Lutheran Church Facebook page.
Burial will be in the Bethania Cemetery, Rosholt. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Lick, Sr. and Layne Moeller. Active pallbearers will be Don Lick, Dan Lick, Jeff Young, Scott Osborn, Drake Wiesner, and Steve Parkhurst.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon one hour prior to the service at the church.
David Arthur Dahl was born on August 31, 1942, in Sisseton, SD, to Hardus and Gracie (Smith) Dahl. He was the oldest of five children born to the Dahl Family and grew up on the family farm where he had been residing for most of his life.
David is survived by his children: stepson, James Bear; son, Thomas Dahl; daughters, Brenda, Florence and Barbara all living in the Rosholt area. He has five grandchildren, Amy, Daniel and Anna Pearson and Kitana and Makya Dahl; and one great-granddaughter, Adeline Wiesner. David is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Ellen, Elvin, Reva and Royce; and two nieces and two nephews.
David is preceded in death by the love of his life, Carole; his daughter, Kathryn; his parents, Hardus and Gracie; and both sets of grandparents.
David held jobs away from the farm until he retired. He was very proud of his family and was their best cheerleader.
David will be laid to rest alongside his grandparents and daughter Kathryn in Bethania Cemetery. Blessed be his memory.
