Dale Myhre

Dale S. Myhre, 60, Beardsley, MN, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services were Thursday, February 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Beardsley with Rev. Anna Williamson officiating. Music was provided by organist Janet LeClair.
Burial will be at a later date in the Beardsley Community Cemetery. Honorary urn bearers were Larry Nelson, Steve Roscoe, Darrell Myhre, Dennis Myhre, Ron Gettman, Kenny Buck, Marshall Taber, Jamie Wenker, Kyle Smith, and Chuck Floro.
Dale Stanley Myhre was born March 13, 1953, in Browns Valley, MN, to Noran and Armella (Gully) Myhre. He grew up and attended school in Browns Valley. As a young man, he helped his father haul flax straw. Dale then hauled iron and eventually opened his own business, Myhre's Garage in Browns Valley. Later he moved his business to Beardsley.
On June 7, 1991, Dale married Jinnie Hembree at Sisseton, SD. He continued to own and operate Myhre's Garage until he was diagnosed with brain cancer in July 2013.
Dale's hobbies were drag racing, restoring old cars, listening to old-time music and having a few beers.
Survivors include his wife, Jinnie of Beardsley; three daughters, Amanda Myhre and her fiancé Kyle Smith of Beardsley, Amber Myhre and husband Marshall Taber of Beardsley, and Alicia Myhre and special friend Jamie Wenker of Beardsley; three grandchildren, Spencer, Skyler and Syrus Taber; brothers and sisters, Deb (Chuck) Floro of Wilmot, SD, Darrell (Joan) Myhre of Beardsley, Diane Stuckey of Watertown, SD, Darlene (Bob) Fleck of Cheyenne, WY, and Dennis Myhre of Lidgerwood, ND.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
