Alfred C. "Chuck" Feldick, age 79, of Rosholt, was called to heaven on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at his home in Rosholt with his wife, son Greg, and friends by his side.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Rev. Nancy Quatier officiating. Music will be provided by Lana and Paul Sand.
Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Rosholt. Military honors will be provided by the Leo American Legion Post 48 of Rosholt and the Read Veflin American Legion Post 180 of New Effington. Urn bearers will be Vanessa Schmidt, Tyler Owen, Zachary Schmidt, Mackenzie Schmidt, and Anthony Novak.
Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Alfred Charles was born October 8, 1944, to Fred and Marion (VanVooran) Feldick in Graceville, MN. He attended school in Wheaton, MN, and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy.
During Chuck's life, he wore many hats of employment. He was custodian of Concordia College in Moorhead and manager of many apartment buildings in Minneapolis. He moved to Barnesville, MN, and was employed at the Ross Omberg Grain Elevator in Hawley, building and repairing elevators in the area.
Chuck married his love, Betty, on November 7, 2002, at the courthouse in Sisseton. Chuck and Betty owned and operated the C & B Café in Rosholt for several years. He then was a bellhop at the Dakota Magic Casino and later a correctional officer at the Roberts County Detention Center.
Chuck was a member of the Rosholt Lions. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He loved wolves and enjoyed collecting pictures, puzzles, and anything with wolves. Chuck liked to play games and put puzzles together. He also enjoyed watching the Vikings and Twins. He had a soft spot for pets and adopted several including Rufus, Missy, and Goober.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty Feldick of Rosholt; his children, Mary Ann, Nicole, RoGena, Robert, Greg, Lisa, and Tammy; sisters, Maggie and Shirley; brother, Richard; several grandchildren; and the sparkle in his eye, great-grandson, Waylan Owen.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marion; father and mother-in-law, Arnold and Lauretta Braun; brother, Raymond; and sisters, Darlene and Donna.
