Beverly Paulson

Beverly “Bev” Paulson, 89, Ada, MN, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at her home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 15, at 10:00 a.m. at the Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt.

Beverly Jean Ziemer was born July 30, 1936, to Walter and Adalon (Sykora) Ziemer in rural Roberts County, SD. She graduated from Browns Valley High School.

On March 15, 1955, Beverly married Gene Paulson in Browns Valley. They were blessed with six children.

Raising children in Rosholt, attending their activities and spending any time she could with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy. Beverly was a great support in the ventures she and Gene were a part of, including operating a payloader, driving tractor, and being transport manager at their trucking and organic grain businesses.

Beverly moved to Ada in October of 2021, shortly after Gene’s death. She enjoyed her quiet time and had time to reflect on her life. She was ready to see heaven and join her friends and family there.

Beverly is survived by her children and spouses: Linda (Tim) Simonson of Rosholt, Renee (Gary) Hedman of Ada, MN, Vickie (Don) Bender of Fairburn, SD, Brian Paulson of Lakewood, CO, Karen (Leroy) Fussy of Swanville, MN, and Debbie Johnson of Fargo, ND. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Alison (Travis) Pearce, Damien (Katelyn) Pearce and Camieo Pearce; Elizabeth (Peter) Cannon; Ashlee (Seth) May, Myley, Maycee and Rhett May; Dane (Katie) Finnesand, Hailey Harris, and Trey (Colie) Harris; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gene; and her brothers and sisters: Gordon Ziemer, Galen Ziemer, Marjorie Metz, Shirley Metz and Phyllis Ziemer.
