Betty J. Morrill

Betty J. Morrill, 86, Clinton, MN, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at the Holy Trinity Hospital in Graceville, MN.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 7, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton with Minister Bev McNeill officiating.  Music will be provided by organist Bonnie Stotesbery and vocalist Randy Stotesbery.

Burial will be in the Clinton City Cemetery.  Urn bearer will be Kent Morrill.

Visitation will be Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Betty Jane was born May 16, 1931, to Robert G. and Dorothy (Underwood) Bell in Milbank, SD.  She attended school in Big Stone City and graduated from Ortonville High School in 1949.  After finishing school, she worked at Gamble's in Ortonville and then for Dr. Nolop in the dentist office in Ortonville.

On August 13, 1966, Betty married Richard "Dick" Morrill at the Evangelical Brethren Church in Big Stone City, SD.  Betty helped Dick farm in the Clinton area.  They retired in 1986 and moved to California.  They later moved to Nevada and to Clinton in 2008.  Dick passed away December 22, 2013.

Betty was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clinton and later the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Betty enjoyed music, dancing, baking and sewing.

Survivors include four sons, Robert (Pamela) Morrill of Willmar, MN, Frank (Sherie) Morrill of Sparks, NV, Allen Morrill of Tucson, AZ, and David (Betty) Morrill of Brick, NJ; 12 grandchildren, Jaclyn, Alexis, Tiffany, Alexandria, Ryan, Allen II, Robert, Audrey, Ashley, Kyle, Jamie, and Ann Marie; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Daryl and Myrna Bell of Milbank, SD.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; and her parents, Robert and Dorothy.
