Barbara Wolf

Barbara R. Wolf, age 95, Breckenridge, MN, formerly of Towner, ND, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at St. Francis Home in Breckenridge.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m. St. John's Catholic Church in Wahpeton.

Burial will be in the St. Cecilia Cemetery in Towner, ND.  Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Jeremy Wolf, Michell Swenson, Shawn Wolf, Matthew Schuster, and Emily Schuster.

Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church with the Rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Barbara was born March 6, 1929, to Peter and Frances (Geisinger) Burgard in Orrin, ND.  On June 28, 1950, Barbara married Philip Wolf in Orrin.  They spent most of their life together in Hanover, Drake, and Towner, ND.  She worked as a cook at the Towner School.  After retiring from school, she cooked at the Towner Senior Citizens Center.  Philip passed away May 4, 2001.  Barbara then moved to West Fargo and later Breckenridge.

Barbara enjoyed sewing and loved cooking and baking.  She was especially known for her kuchen.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Jim) Schuster of Wahpeton, ND; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wolf of Fargo; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; sons, LeRoy and David; two brothers; and eleven sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Towner Senior Citizens Center.
