Ardith Agnes was born February 14, 1936, to Fred J. and Rose (Becker) Didlo in Graceville, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Dumont, MN.  Ardie attended country school at District 21 in Dollymount Township, Traverse County, MN. She attended high school in Graceville, graduating from Graceville High School on June 4, 1954.  The following week, Ardie started working at the Traverse County ASC office in Wheaton, MN, until 1957.

Ardie loved singing and dancing and met her future husband, Dennis Kraus, at a dance in Browns Valley. On May 22, 1957, they were married at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Dumont.  After their children were all in school, Ardie was employed as a medical assistant at the Kass Clinic in Rosholt for seven years. In 1976, Ardie began working at Demson Grain Co., Inc., at Fairmount, ND, and retired after 32 years in December 2008.  Ardie thought it was time to go home and be with Dennis.

Dennis and Ardie enjoyed traveling. They took several Rustad bus trips and were able to visit many areas of the United States. In May 1993, Ardie had the opportunity to go to Russia for four weeks. She helped teach farming and elevator accounting to the Russian farmers through the USDA's Farmer to Farmer program. Ardie also thoroughly enjoyed a trip to Europe in 1996.

Ardie was active in the community and served as an EMT for the Rosholt Ambulance. She sang in the Rosholt Community Choir and belonged to the Bethania Quilting Group.  Ardie was a member of St. John's Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society and was a member of St. John's Choir.

Ardie's greatest joy was her wonderful, loving, supportive family. She and Dennis always enjoyed all the visits and fun they had with their kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis of Rosholt; children, Lisa (Dick) Braun of Rosholt, Patti Thomas of Parker, SD, Teresa (Dan) Forbrook of Alexandria, MN, and Gene (Sarah) Kraus of Tea, SD; grandchildren, Ryan (Emily) Braun, Betsy (Tyler) Vetter, Corey (Desiree) Foltz, Keri (Tony) Satrang, Kate (Dan) Bunjer, Lindsey (Dan) Aberle, and Alex Elizabeth Kraus (John Thelan); and great-grandchildren, Treyton, Jaelynn, Tayden, Westin, Edison, Everett, Riggs, Nora, Luka, and Evelyn.
