Ada Reiman was born December 4, 1929, to John and Mary (Martin) Reiman in rural New Effington, SD. In the summer of 1933, her family moved to Minnesota Lake, MN, where her mother passed away in August of 1934 of tetanus. In 1946 she moved to Hammer, SD, with her family and farmed with her father and took care of him until he died in 1969. After his death she continued to farm and have livestock by herself. Art Nordstrom gave her a helping hand. After Ada rented out her farm land, she continued to have cattle for a few years. She had a lot of chickens and sold eggs until November 10, 2017. She worked at the Tekakwitha Nursing home for over 30 years.

Ada took pride in all of her flowers indoors and outside, her vegetable garden and her big lawn that she neatly mowed. She baked homemade angel food cakes and gave a lot of them away. She enjoyed visiting and having friends and relatives stop in for coffee. Ada had a little house dog named "Penny" that was her companion.

Ada is survived by one sister, Bernice Reese of Evansville, MN, and several nieces and nephews and great and grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Phyllis Walters and Gladys German; and three brothers, Morris Reiman and Lewis Reiman and Gabriel Reiman in infancy.
